In a Nutshell: This was a collection of real life narratives of David's life, told in a funny, sarcastic voice could only be David Sedaris. He retells his growing up with a very polish grandmother, a job in a fruit-packing plant, being in a nudist colony, and a very dysfunctional childhood. All this is told in a very funny, "look back and just laugh" kind of attitude.
My Take: If you want a rip-roaring good time while reading a story, this is it. It is laugh out loud funny. Very fun. The book club enjoyed it. Don't read it late at night next to your sleeping significant other...you may awaken him/her. The brown towel chapter is one of my favorite- read it. Trust me.
